We believe that through the collaboration of researchers, clinicians, advocates, and communities of people who use drugs, we can fight the shame and stigma our communities so often face, drive change on a global scale, and ultimately improve the health and wellbeing of people who use drugs. Together, we can make a difference.
Who should join INHSU?
Our network’s focus is on the health of people who use drugs, with a specific focus on hepatitis C, other infectious diseases, and harms related to drug use. We welcome people from all sectors, from epidemiology and clinical services to frontline service providers and peer support workers.
Community members
At the heart of our network is the voice of people with a lived or living experience drug use or viral hepatitis or other infectious diseases.
Healthcare professionals
Clinicians, nurses, allied health, and all those working in the health of people who use drugs will benefit from the network.
Researchers
From senior academics to early career researchers, all are welcome to join INHSU, with myriad opportunities to network and showcase work.
Advocates
Advocates, policymakers, community workers and more are all part of INHSU.

Membership pricing
The INHSU membership year is 1st July – 30th June each year.
We do not offer pro-rata memberships. To maximise your membership, it is best to join from 1st July.

€30 per year | We offer 1, 3 or 5-year nurses memberships. You will need to provide a copy of your nurse’s ID during registration. |
Allied Health |

We offer 1, 3 or 5-year allied health memberships. This category is for pharmacists, social workers, occupational therapists, paramedics, and psychologists. If you are a different allied health professional, please contact us at info@inhsu.org to see if you are eligible for this category. You will need to upload a valid ID during the application process. |
Low-and-middle-income country membership |
€30 per year |
We offer 1, 3 or 5-year Low-and-middle-income country memberships. Countries that are considered Low-Income Economies and Lower-Middle Income Economies by the World Bank. Please click here to view the World Bank website for the latest information on world economy classifications. |
Community workers |
€30 per year | We offer 1, 3 or 5-year community workers memberships. To be eligible, you must be employed by a not-for-profit community organisation or work for a community-based organisation or direct-action group.

Complimentary | A student is defined as a holder of a full-time student identification card from a recognised tertiary or secondary educational institution or an international student card. |
Community |
Complimentary | A person with lived experience of hepatitis and/or HIV and/or drug use. There are 1, 3, and 5-year community memberships available. |
