Time zone

In October, Geneva’s time zone is Central European Summer Time (CEST).



The Swiss franc is the currency of Switzerland. Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) are widely available. 

Credit and debit cards are accepted in most hotels, restaurants and shops. Some smaller shops and guesthouse accommodation may only accept cash.
