INHSU 2023 conference committees
Each year, INHSU convenes various conference committees to provide input into the main conference program, curate pre-conference events, and ensure our audience and members’ voices and needs are reflected in the run-up to the conference, at the conference, and in any post-event activities.
INHSU 2023 Co-Conveners
INHSU 2023’s committee features some of the leading experts in epidemiology and public health in hepatitis C, other infectious diseases, and the broader health of people who use drugs.
Community Committee
The Community Committee organises the pre-conference Community Day for people with lived or living experience of drug use, and provides input into the main program to ensure community needs are appropriately represented.
Nurses Committee
The Nurses Committee is convened each year and organises conference sessions and networking events, especially for nurses. The committee also provides input on other areas of the conference program.
INHSU Prisons
INHSU Prisons is a special interest group of INHSU for members who would like to participate in scientific knowledge and information exchange, knowledge translation, and advocacy for enhanced hepatitis care in custodial settings. Each year, the INHSU Prisons SIG Committee organises a pre-conference event dedicated to advancing healthcare for people who use drugs in prisons.
INHSU EMCR
INHSU’s Early-Mid-Career Researchers (EMCR) Special Interest Group brings together early and mid-career researchers from across the globe who are interested in the health and wellbeing of people who use drugs. The INHSU EMCR Special Interest Group runs various activities at the conference, including poster tours, an EMCR and community networking event, and EMCR-led conference sessions.
